Do I need to fill in a Health Safety form?

Yes please! You will need to arrive at least 5 minutes before your first class, as we need you to complete a Health Safety Questionnaire, your instructor may need to discuss any ailments with you in more detail. Click Here  if you would like to download the form and be prepared and ready for your first class.

What should I wear?

Please wear loose, comfortable or stretch fabric, modest clothing that will not restrict your movement. Try to avoid clothing with buttons or zips that may cause discomfort when stretching

Do I need to bring my own mat or equipment?

We supply everything!  Our props and mats are either organic or environmentally friendly but if you have your own favourite mat, you are welcome to bring it along. You are welcome to bring a mat to the classes held at Flinders Park.

Can I eat before class?

It is recommended that you do not eat at least 2 hours before class as stretching and twisting can be uncomfortable on a full stomach.  If you need to have something before you come to class try some light fruit or other light snack.

Can I drink water during the class?

We encourage you to stay well hydrated as this will assist you with your recovery and help you to feel great after a class.

Is there a minimum age?

Any person from 12 years old can join in our mainstream classes. Families are very welcome!

How many classes should I do per week to get flexible?

Two to three classes per week will make a considerable difference to your overall wellbeing, strength and flexibility.  If you end up becoming a dedicated yoga practitioner, we recommend that you do a variety of our classes and have at least one day off per week for your body to rest.   We encourage you to listen to your body’s needs and respond accordingly.

Should I tell my instructor if I have an injury or not feeling well?

Our class sizes are small so it is very easy to communicate with your instructor and most important to let them know if you have any injury, large or small.  If you are feeling unwell we recommend that you rest and avoid passing on a potential virus to other participants.
